What is a Custom Actor?
A Custom Actor is a digital representation of an individual. These avatars are created by combining 5 minutes of video footage of the individual reciting a script with advanced machine learning techniques.
What shot types are available for Custom Actors?
Currently, we offer the option of a close-up (mid-torso up) or wider shot (mid-waist up) for Custom Actors. You can choose your preferred shot when you upload your footage, however, if the technical requirements are not met, only the close-up shot will be available.
What are the footage requirements?
You can view our step by step footage requirements and performance guidelines here. Kindly review the instructions attentively, bearing in mind that the quality of your footage will directly impact the quality of your personalized avatar.
How long will it take to produce my Custom Actor?
Once the Pipio team receives the footage, it typically takes around 5-7 business days to create your Custom Actor. The avatar will be delivered directly to your Pipio account.
Who will be able to access my Custom Actor?
Access to your Custom Actor will be restricted to your own account and will not be available to anyone else. Creating a Custom Actor requires the explicit consent of the person it represents.
Will my Custom Actor have my voice?
Pipio voice cloning feature is currently only available with the purchase of a Custom Actor. Furthermore, we do offer a variety of voices that support multiple languages and accents. You can also upload your own voice recording to pair with the Custom Actor.

To begin, once you're logged into your account and within your video dashboard, click on the 'create Custom Actor' choice located in the 'actors' selection interface.
